A 39 year old nursery worker has appeared in court. She is charged with series of sexual assaults on children. She faces three counts of sexual assault on a girl and a boy, both under the age of thirteen. She also faces four counts of sexual assault for making, possessing and distributing images of children. The nursery worker worked at Little Ted’s nursery in Plymouth. The nursery will stay closed for police investigation. The police is continuing speaking with families that used the nursery, so far about 95 families have been contacted and offered support and advice.
I think this is awful, you bring you child to a nursery because you think it will be safe there. The workers of the nursery are trained to work with children and so every single child will be safe and okay. Then the opposite turns out to be true, children are assaulted in the nursery. I do think that the nursery worker should get a ‘heavy’ punishment. She should go to jail, but when she ever comes out there should be a policy that she never comes near children again. Not even her own if she plans to have children some day.
